St John's College, of the University of Durham, is Durham's second-smallest college, with just over 400 members. A bailey college, St John's was established in 1909, and is a 'recognised' college of the University (the only other 'recognised' college at the University is St Chad's College), rather than a 'maintained college', giving it more independence from the University.

St John's college motto is fides nostra victoria - 'our faith is our victory'.
