Ushaw College was established in 1568 in France, and became a 'registered hall' of the University of Durham in just 1968, despite moving to Ushaw Moor, 4 miles from Durham, in 1808. Whilst primarily a seminary, Ushaw College is home to both clergy-in-training and lay students.
