The Coach and Eight pub, Durham

The Coach and Eight public house, in the centre of Durham, is not particularly popular with students of Durham University. Whilst the interior is well-maintained, the Coach and Eight is situated below street level, giving a dark, dank atmosphere; those businesses over the river, Cafe Rouge and Esquires.

The Coach and Eight serves food of acceptable quality until early evening.
