The Fighting Cocks, Durham

The Fighting Cocks, whilst being renowned as one of the roughest pubs in Durham, is a pleasant stop for a quick drink in town, and serves food daily, as well as having a weekly resident DJ. Home to a pub for over three hundred years, The Fighting Cocks is a warm, homely pub in much the same model as the The Swan & Three Cygnets and The Colpitts Hotel, but the prices are (unsurprisingly) a little more expensive.

The Fighting Cocks has much more character than the nearby Coach and Eight, and is just a minutes’ walk from In Shanghai.
