Swan & Three Cygnets Pub, Durham

The Swan & Three Cygnets, a public house in the centre of Durham, is incredibly popular with Durham University students, drawn by the cheap beer (as with the Colpitts Hotel) and river-side location. Affectionately known by loyal regulars as ‘The Swan’ or the ‘The Swan & Three’, the pub is just across the bridge from Chase, Klute and Jimmy Allen’s and Whisky River.

The Swan is often a stop-off during college bar crawls, and even during the day there are generally plenty of students filling its many crevises, especially during the exam period.
