Melanzana
Previously called Emilio’s, Melanzana restaurant in Durham is opposite the Swan and Three and near Patrick’s.
Melanzana in Durham is popular with students, serving Italian food such as pizza and pasta, and seems more popular than Filini’s or Fat Buddha.
Whilst the food is generally of good quality, there is an ‘optional’ 10% service charge added to every bill by default, and, whilst you can ask for it to be deducted, it is all too easy to tip twice without realising it.
