The New Kwai Lam restaurant is situated in the centre of Durham, above the shops of Saddler Street – look out for the bright red door across the street from the alley to Vennel’s Café and down the road (away from the cathedral), the New Kwai Lam serves Chinese food at a reasonable price, but meals later at night may be interrupted by the noise from Jimmy A’s and passing students from the bailey colleges on their way to Klute.
